high school

for the most part, i am happy to say that i am able to
look back on high school with only fond memories.
it was some truly great times.

my experiences in high school are a huge part
of who i am and i am so thankful for the
opportunities i had at Faith.

a couple months ago i was going through all of my photos
and noticed i had a ton of random videos from high school.
since i always have to have a project,
i thought it would be cool to combine all of them.

the result is a bunch of low-quality phone videos

that beautifully capture some of my best
memories from my four years in high school :)

san diego

well as july is quickly coming to a close,
my grandma and i decided to take
 a quick trip to california.

when we first got to san diego we headed
to old town for some yummy mexican food.

unfortunately after finishing our food we quickly
got rained out, which sent us back to our hotel for
the night.

the next morning we headed to coronado.

breakfast at tent city...

and then headed to the del.

this place is a classic built in the 1800s
and is still so popular among tourists today.

it will also cost you a pretty penny :)
one of my favorite things about the del was their GARDEN!

i was just in love with it!!!
it is exactly what i picture my future garden being like one day...hey i can dream!

that night we headed back to sd to see a padres game!
this place was (almost) as magical as cowboys stadium ;)

the atmosphere was so fun and everyone was happy
to see the padres win 5 in a row.

the next day we spent some more time in coronado.

we had some delicious ice cream at the del, saw TONS of adorable houses, and ate at charming restaurants.

i took about a million pictures of all the pretty homes
and flowers but i just couldnt help it!

till next time!

sandpoint: fourth of july

happy birthday, america.

lord knows this country is a lil wacky these days
but im still blessed to be born in the
U.S.A.

in god we trust.

with my blue chucks on, i was ready for
Sandpoint's Fourth of July Parade.

it was the most packed ive seen the little town.
but im convinced small towns have the best parades.

cuties! i could eat their faces.
dad & mia waiting for the parade to start...
if you've ever had Litehouse salad dressing, its actually based in sandpoint. who knew.

these were two of my favorites. the cute old farmer in his overalls
and a mobile flower shop called "Fresh Sunshine"

...more flowers around town...

after the parade we went to the (packed) farmers market.
but it was honestly one of the best ones ive seen.

locally grown, organic food.
sorry vegas, but sandpoint's market kicks your GMO butt.

how pretty...

this part of the farmers market is a little "food court"
with all types of food trucks.

how cute is this bed and breakfast...
talk about curb appeal.

the view as we drove back home to eat lunch...

i ended up getting this bird house from one of the booths
at the farmers market. i loved the idea of
the license plate on it.

since theres no cable at my dads we missed the
hot dog eating contest...darn.

for dinner we had a bbq at a family friends house
before heading down to city beach.

this little goon had her "bawoon" attached to her all day.

have to show off my camo flag hat...

the cute, retro theater downtown...

the beach was...uhh...packed.

cameron sat on my lap during the fireworks show and kept
telling me "make sure kenzee sees these pictures"
and to tell her that "the fireworks are much brighter in person"

so cute...we missed kenz on this trip!

happy fourth of july!

sandpoint: day 2

although homework is never something i want to do
on vacation, having a view of the mountains while doing it
makes it a little easier.

i sat out on the porch, worked on some homework
and read a little. the weather was perfect
and nothing beats the sound of nature
...
and something us vegas people don't know of

something called...FRESH AIR.

the kids wanted to show me their fort my dad
built them on the property and i must say its pretty cool.

the camo print wallpaper gives it some added character ;)

later on marcee, mia and i went downtown
to shop and get some food.

i LOVE all the boutique stores and charming restaurants.

& the only chain place i saw downtown was a starbucks.

these pretty flower arrangements are literally all over town and im obsessed with them.

more 25¢ ice cream cones...

i sure do wish we had that in vegas...
i would NEVER spend $5 on froyo again.

for dinner we had burritos and salad.
side note: my little brother cameron (he's 5) ate 3.5 burritos.
not kidding.

and later on i convinced my dad to build a fire so
we could have smores...

...cameron continued to eat 3 smores.

its a sure good day when smores are in it! night.
