sandpoint: day 1

gooood morning from idaho! can i just tell you 

this is the view from my dad's backyard...

the classic red barn with the mountains behind it.

ugh

first thing in the morning the boys took me out to 

the chicken coop to collect the eggs.

they have a couple dozen chickens with some roosters and

a horribly ugly turkey that they plan on

enjoying at some point!

little further over we noticed the neighbors horses were

on the other side of our fence eatin grass

our morning adventures finished with picking cherries

from the cherry tree.

this particular lake is the lake we drive over every time

we go to sandpoint and it amazes me every time.

that picture was taken driving over the bridge

and i wish i could capture just how huge and pretty it is

but it doesn't even do the lake any justice.

then we took a little drive to see Bottle Bay.

this place...

i mean seriously...

the view honestly reminded me of our mountain resort

hotel in switzerland. that's how pretty it was

my view at lunch... obsessed with them

and i was also obsessed with these planters that lined

the entire restaurant

safe to say i was in love with that place.

on our drive back we stopped to get 25¢ ice cream cones
and then enjoyed a two hour nap and some
little house on the prairie :)
